Job Description

As the Manager – Digital Integration, you will play a crucial role in our Strategy – DCU department, driving digital integration initiatives across our Group portfolio. Your primary responsibility is to plan and manage post-merger integration activities from a technological standpoint, ensuring a seamless and strategic transition. You will lead the development of integration strategies, playbooks, and roadmaps, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to assess and execute integration plans effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities summary:

  • Own the end-to-end planning and coordination of digital and technology post-merger integration activities.

  • Produce integration assessments and recommendations for acquisitions, JVs and partially integrated entities.

  • Define Day 1, Day 100 and target-state technology integration plans.

  • Support pre-deal and post-deal technology due diligence activity.

  • Coordinate the relevant group and cluster technology teams to mobilize and oversee integration delivery.

  • Develop group-level PMI playbooks, tools and standards for digital and technology integration.

  • Monitor portfolio integration progress and maintain a view of integration status across entities.

  • Provide structured reporting and decision support to senior leadership.

  • Lead the development of digital and technology integration strategies for acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and other strategic portfolio transactions.

  • Define the integration approach for each transaction, including the level and pace of integration across applications, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, identity, support and governance.

  • Develop structured integration plans covering Day 1, Day 100 and longer-term transition milestones.

  • Ensure integration plans are aligned to deal rationale, business priorities, synergy objectives and operational realities.

  • Support technology due diligence activities during transaction evaluation stages, with a focus on integration implications, technology risks, separation constraints, cost drivers and synergy opportunities.

  • Assess the target entity’s current technology landscape, including core business applications, infrastructure, networks, hosting, data, cybersecurity, vendors and support arrangements.

  • Identify key integration considerations, dependencies, red flags, major cost items and likely transition complexity.

  • Translate due diligence findings into practical integration hypotheses and post-close planning inputs.

  • Assess existing portfolio companies and entities that are not yet fully integrated, and define practical roadmaps for further digital and technology integration where appropriate.

  • Recommend target-state integration outcomes, sequencing and decision points for each entity.

  • Work with relevant clusters and group stakeholders to align on roadmap priorities, delivery approach and ownership.

  • Maintain visibility of integration maturity and progress across the portfolio.

  • Develop and continuously improve digital and technology integration playbooks, templates, checklists and governance standards.

  • Establish pragmatic prototypes and repeatable models for common integration scenarios, such as full acquisition integration, partial integration, JV connectivity, shared services adoption and transitional operating models.

  • Capture lessons learned from completed integrations and use them to refine tools, methods and decision frameworks.

  • Promote a more repeatable, scalable and lower-risk integration capability across the Group.

  • Coordinate with group digital and technology teams, including enterprise architecture, infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, digital value management and service teams, to define and oversee integration activity.

  • Ensure technology workstreams are properly structured, dependencies are clear, risks are surfaced early and execution is governed effectively.

  • Track progress, escalate key issues and support decision-making across leadership stakeholders.

  • Act as the central coordinator for digital and technology integration planning, while working through the relevant delivery teams for execution.

  • Support governance of technology integration initiatives through clear plans, milestone tracking, status reporting, issue management and decision logs.

  • Ensure integration planning reflects both value capture and risk management, balancing speed, cost, security, service continuity and long-term maintainability.

  • Help shape business cases, integration assumptions and resource requirements where needed.

  • Track whether planned integration outcomes are being delivered in line with intended benefits.

  • Track whether planned integration outcomes are being delivered in line with intended benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Degrees in Maths, Physics and Liberal Arts are also accepted when relevant experiences are demonstrated.  

  • Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, TOGAF, ITIL, or M&A / integration-related training would be beneficial
